Exam 3 Practice Quiz

89 questions · the nursing process and oxygenation · about an hour and a half

A confidence check, companion to the NUR 110 Exam 3 Study Guide. Shorter than the practice exam and weighted toward the points the instructor named and the distinctions that decide items.

Coverage. Weeks 7 and 8. The nursing process: ADPIE, clinical judgment and assessing (Ch 13–15); diagnosis, problem statements and priorities (Ch 16); planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting (Ch 17–20). Then oxygenation and perfusion (Ch 40), split into how it works and fails, and nursing care. Chapter 41, fluid, electrolyte and acid–base, is not here; it belongs to the next exam.

Two halves. The first 26 questions are the core bank: definitions, counts, rules and classifications, one part after another. The last 63 are scenario and edge-case items, the shape that decides grades: rank two abnormal findings, the same number meaning opposite things, does X actually cause Y, the vague instruction against the specific one, the classification that sounds like one bucket and belongs in another, what you do first, the reasoning that is usually right and is wrong here, and two classifications applied at once.

What the instructor emphasized in class is weighted heaviest here, and every item on it is starred: ABCDE for a patient with several problems; ADPIE; problem statements, where an actual problem has “related to” and “as evidenced by” and a potential problem has the statement and “related to”; SMART goals that are specific to the patient; short-term goals by the end of the shift and long-term goals by discharge; and reassessing when a goal is not met or cannot be met.

About the starred items. A star means the instructor singled the point out: said in class, written in red or with an asterisk on a slide, or set as a question or drill in a deck. The deck questions themselves are not reproduced. These are original items testing the same distinction in a different scenario.

How it works. Pick an answer and the rationale appears immediately. Select-all questions need a Check click. Ordering questions are answered by clicking the steps in sequence, with an Undo last if you mis-click. Every question is tagged with its part and its topic, and the summary tells you which topics to re-read in the NUR 110 Exam 3 Study Guide. Nothing is saved when you close the page.

Practice questions written for personal study use, keyed to the three posted lecture decks for the nursing process and Chapter 40, what the instructor emphasized in class, the course lecture, topical, skills-lab and clinical outlines, the program's care-plan forms, ATI Engage Fundamentals, and Taylor, Lynn & Bartlett, Fundamentals of Nursing: The Art and Science of Person-Centered Care, 10th ed. These are not actual CCAC exam items. They are original questions built from the course's own material. Where a deck poses its own question or drill, the item here tests the same distinction in a different scenario; no deck question is reproduced. Where sources disagree, the key follows what was said in class, then the deck, then the textbook, and the rationale says so.
